| Golf Lessons
YOUR APPOINTMENT
Lessons should be booked in advance, especially if you require a particular instructor. If you cannot keep the appointment, please call and cancel as soon as possible.
LENGTH OF FIRST LESSON
The first lesson should be at least one hour, after which we recommend follow-up sessions. Only a short period of time should pass between lessons. This will help you remember “the feel” of what you have been taught.
PLEASE BRING…
All of your golf clubs. If you do not have clubs, we will provide them. We strongly recommend that you buy a set of clubs that fit your swing. Your teacher will help you in your selection. Correct clubs can make a dramatic difference in your game. Wear golf shoes or sneakers and if you use a glove, we recommend you use one in your lesson.
YOUR EXPECTATIONS
Expectations are always high after a lesson. There is excitement and an urgency to go out and try the new swing. We highly recommend that you keep expectations realistic. Extra high expectations tend to add unnecessary pressure. Realize that:
- There is usually a regression before progression.
- It takes time for the muscles to accept what you are telling them to do.
- Be patient! Allow plenty of time for your new technique to develop.
- The old swing will not disappear in a 1/2 hour lesson, especially when it took you years to develop it.
2011 PRIVATE & SEMI PRIVATE LESSONS
Receive personalized instruction from the Professional of your choice. Start with the basics or focus on a particular aspect of your game. INDIVIDUAL PRIVATE LESSON PACKAGE
Schedule a series of six(6) half-hour personalized lessons for the price of five. A video of your swing is included with the package. Teaching Professional $275
ADULT CLINIC PACKAGE
Form your own group with 3 other golfers. In the Clinic Package you will receive four 1½ hour lessons covering all aspects of the game and a video of your swing. This program is also ideal for beginners who have never played or had professional instruction. Teaching Professional $225/person
THE SCORING ZONE
Putting, Chipping, Pitching and Bunker Shots Teaches you the necessary skills for shots from 50 yards and in, including: putting techniques; pitch and chip shots; bunker shots; and essential drills to develop a better scoring game. Scoring Zone lessons are priced by length of time.
CORPORATE CLINICS
Golf is no longer a choice in business. It’s something you need to do or you will be left behind. Bring your group to Sterling Farms and let our instructors work with you and your employees. We can design a Golf School for groups of any size. You decide the number of hours per day and we will customize a program.
PLAYING LESSON
Having trouble taking your swing from the practice tee to the course? Schedule a Playing Lesson for the real course experience. All aspects of playing the game will be covered, including the pre-shot routine, course management and short game stroke savers. Playing lessons are priced by the hour.
